My colour grade for The Prophetess, a short film adaptation of the story by Njabulo Ndebele. The protagonist is sent by his mother to get holy water from the Prophetess, whose wrath and power are legendary. But when things go wrong, the protagonist must decide for himself what he believes. The challenge with this project was turning daytime footage into a moonlit as well as a candlelit night-time look. For the climax scene I inserted a flickering candle light to accentuate the rising tension.
